HA's need analysis: In order to get a long term solution to your headaches a solid diagnosis needs to be made on what type of headaches you have as well as how they respond to specific medications by tracking individual parameters. I'd be happy to guide you in this process & look at your problem in a way that'd optimize the choosing of the best medication based upon their characterization.

Change protocol: First, try to prevent the headaches, and Botox may be answer, but you could take daily riboflavin, Co-Q10, butterbur, feverfew. Other triptans to stop headaches, maybe Frova or Relpax (eletriptan). But Cambia powder may be best tolerated. See a headache specialist and get it controlled.

"phase-specific": The efficacy of the migraine treatment may depend more on the phase of the migraine attack at which the medication is administered rather than the specific medication. OTC medication may effectively abort a migraine in the prodrome stage or the aura, while a strong or "rescue" medication (Zomig) may be needed in the late stage of a headache.
