A member asked:

What do i do if i was exposed to tuberculosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Get tested: Tuberculosis can start off as "silent" (no symptoms), so anyone who has been exposed should be tested soon after the exposure, and again in 3 months to follow up. Usually a skin test, unless special circumstances. See your primary care doctor. If you don't have a regular doctor, your local public health department should be able to do the test or tell you where you can get it done.
