PPD skin testing: A PPD skin test is the initial screening exam for TB exposure. After that history, a chest xray, and symptoms will suggest other testing to decide whether treatment is necessary.

See doctor: Your doctor can perform either a skin test or a blood test to see if you have ever been infected with tuberculosis in the past and a chest x-ray and other tests to look for any form of active disease at present.
