A member asked:

Can i take klonopin (clonazepam) before a brain and central nervous system mri?

Yes: Benzodiazapines (like Klonopin) are often used to help mitigate the anxiety of MRI's, usually due to claustrophobia. Just don't drive or operate heavy machinery while taking. Hope this helps!

Yes: Yes, you can. Many people require an antianxiety medication just to be able to get through the procedure. Often we prescribe a short acting form (ativan/lorazepam) rather than clonazepam / klonopin - but it should still do the trick.
