While many medicines: may have anxiety and/or depression as a side effect, the first thing would be to be certain that that is the cause. If so, switching to a different medication would be my first choice, not to treat the side effects of one med with yet another. SSRI's take weeks to months to really kick in, so it depends on whether you are going to be on cipro (ciprofloxacin) for that long. Clonazepam would be better short-term.
