Start with sleep ..: A key to good mood is to have a nighttime of restorative sleep. Work on this investigating natural sleep remedies and sleep hygiene. I hope by "bad", you mean negative/pessimistic: you can work on this through mediation, retraining your self-talk, etc. If your thoughts are very dark, depressed, or of self/other harm, you must see a mental health professional right away!

It depends: You need to describe in more words what's wrong with your mood in the morning. You also need to describe what are the bad thoughts you are having. Without this additional information it's not possible to answer your question.
