A member asked:

5 wks pregnant. low hcg levels. little to no pain, light red blood spotting, negative blood type. rh shot given, could still be a miscarriage?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe not: Spotting in pregnancy is never reassuring; however, it doesn't always mean a miscarriage. The only way to know for sure is to get repeated HCG levels to see if they are rising as they should. Ultrasound frequently isn't helpful until 6-7 weeks. Best wishes!
