Maybe: Many pregnancies are complicated by spotting/bleeding in the first trimester. This doesn't have to mean you will miscarry, but the chances are higher. Your HCG level should be rising at a pretty predictable rate at this point. If you have it retested, and the level hasn't doubled over about 72 hours, then that's a bad sign. Also, it would help to know your progesterone level and your blood type.

Maybe not: Bleeding is never reassuring in pregnancy; however, at 5+ weeks it doesn't always mean a miscarriage. A single HCG level isn't that helpful to determine if you are miscarrying.
