A member asked:

My fsh level is <0.2, lh level is 0.4, estradiol is 21.6. just got my most recent t level and its 371. would this mean i have secondary hypogonadism?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

Nope!: Your Total T is presumably normal (371 is generally in normal range for most labs) so this lab by itself doesn't represent hypogonadism. Your FSH is suppressed & LH is low because you're taking Axiron, a prescription topical T product. Once you start T replacement, there's no need to check FSH & LH. However, checking both FSH & LH are useful prior to starting TRT to determine cause of hypogonadism
