HIV: Assuming you were tested appropriately it is very unlikely that you were infected if the tests are negative 8 months later. You need not be retested at this point, but be very careful and make sure you are protected when having sex. Hope this helps.

Not necessary: 97% of those infected w/HIVwill develop antibodies (which is what is tested for) within 3 mo. In rare cases it could take 6. The CDC recommends testing after a high risk exposure at 0, 6, 12, and 24 weeks. If ur recent test was neg, it is extremely unlikely that you have HIV. This is assuming you didn't do any high-risk activities that could expose u 2 HIV 4 those 8 mos.
