The risk varies: Many things influence how fast or if it grows back. A healthy immune system with normal levels of folic acid and vitamin D helps keep it in check. Tobacco smoke, even second hand makes it grow back faster. Eat right, get your exercise, avoid tobacco, get plenty of rest and just generally take care of yourself and get your exams and you should be fine.

Unlikely: With good, close follow up care with your gyn you should not develop cervical cancer. Have cared for many women with your diagnosis in my career and none developed cervical or uterine cancer. Keep your follow up appointments and colpo appointments with your gyn as surveillance of your condition is very important. Hope this helps aleve (naproxen) some of your concern. Best of luck. Dr R
