A member asked:

Is it actually possible to get myself pain if i worry about having (even if i haven't) and/or if i'm worried about a disease i haven't?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Of course: Pain can be created by thinking in certain ways. Pain can be resolved by thinking in other ways. Much of pain perception is related to the interaction of bodily sensations and thought processes in the brain. So, he who wants to be pain-free must think like he is pain-free and act like he is pain-free (and take a pain pill if he really needs one).
