A member asked:

If you get vomitted on by a stranger, do you need to worry about contracting serious diseases?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Somewhat: Viruses like these hepatitis ones and norovirus, for example, can be spread by vomitus. Bloody vomitus can contain more serious infectious diseases but would have to enter your body and go directly into your blood stream as a rule. I doubt that you are likely to be infected if the person vomiting was otherwise not very ill and was up and about. Just observe for any signs of illness without obsessing
