Dr, i get sick once a month(cold, soreness or fatigue)my baby 18months baby wakes me up at least 4 times the night for breastfeeding since she was born. i don't suffer from any disease but i'm worried about these relapses. what can i do to avoid them?

Start by training baby to be a day feeder. Do not breast feed baby closer than 1/2 hour before they go down. 18 mo baby can sleep through the night if they are not using the breast to re-sleep. For a while, use a water filled bottle if baby wakes in the night, zero calories in the feed will shift them to better day feeds. Fix the feeds & the rest should resolve.

The illnesses and fatigue you’re describing are a result of your getting inadequate and disrupted sleep. If you continue doing this, no real harm will come to you. But feel free to use any of the sleep modification programs, including mine on my website, to change your baby’s sleep patterns. Doing this at 18 months of age does not cause emotional or physical harm to your toddler.
