Discuss it with: your physician, there is a chance of serotonin syndrome but he can discuss the risks vs benefits.

Generally not: Sertraline is an SSRI used for treating depression and anxiety. Bupropion primarily works on dopamine. The two are often combined to treat depression as they have different mechanisms.

Can interact: As both of these medications can alter each others levels in the blood related to changes in drug metabolism. But as long as your prescribing physicians is monitoring for side effects - as should be the case with any medication - you should be fine. As has been mentioned before wellbutrin (bupropion) is sometimes added to a regimen to address treatment resistant depression. Good luck.

Very common: Zoloft and Wellbutrin (bupropion) are a common combination. The combination in the right ratios works for many patients. You might want to ask your doctor with any medication-related concerns.

Possibly: Many psychiatrists prescribe Welbutrin together with Zoloft, (sertraline) and their patients do well. However there is a possibility of a potentially serious drug interaction called the Serotonin Syndrome. It doesn't happen to most patients, but it's unpredictable and the risk is more if high doses of the medications are used. Symptoms may include tremor, muscle spasms, sweating and very high fever.
