Meth ice: is the purest form of methamphetamine, followed by "base" and then "speed" The flood of monoamines to the brain produces an intense rush. Very addicting, extremely dangerous drug. By now ( you posted this question 11 hours ago) the drug has likely worn off. I suggest you add this to the list of things that you should never try again. I can't tell you how many stroke victims I've cared for due to it

I quit meth, but my friends still do it. Can I still hang out with them and remain sober?

Too tempting: Meth is very addictive. The temptation would be too great. You would eventually go back to using it. To quote a great source, "don't be unequally yoked.".

To change a habit such as addiction, you usually have to change your "friends" too. Probably, those relationships are based more on the drug than on true friendships

Addiction damages that part of the brain that allows us to choose to do difficult things. It requires external support to be re-engaged and to function properly. Do follow Dr. Mitchell's advice,. Meth addiction is one of the most gripping, and one of the most damaging.

Meth can be fatal: Methamphetamine (meth) kills over time, through damaging the brain and other organs by constricting blood vessels (decreasing nutrient & oxygen flow), raising body temperature (overheats organs), etc... Meth can kill rapidly by fatal heart rhythms, heart attacks, and strokes. Meth also causes psychotic and aggressive behavior, which can lead to deadly accidents or being shot dead by the police.
