Vitamin D toxicity is a myth unless you're taking the hormonally active form of vitamin D (calcitriol, a.k.a. 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D). Calcitriol production in the body is very tightly regulated (except in a few disease states), and you can load up on vitamin D but your body will NOT overproduce the active form, calcitriol.
