As a physician, how did you go about choosing a doctor for yourself?

Reputation: I usually ask multiple colleagues in different specialties and also check their training and background. Finally i speak to them on a personal basis and try to get a feeling about them. If there are no "red flags, " then i can feel fairly comfortable that i made the right choice.
