Sounds painful: Patrick, I feel your pain. Dealing with a fussy 2 year old on the plane can be trying. However, there are no completely safe medications at this age to help them sleep. Best is to bring pillow, blanket, stuffed animal, whatever for her/him to be comfortable. Warm milk, or chamomile tea. You can also try to keep them up the night before or skip any naps b4 the flight. Best of luck!

No sleep meds...: We don't prescribe sleep medication for babies. For a long flight, I would suggest you bring things for her to do - her favorite toys, snacks, movies. Plan to be playing and interacting with her and the flight should go fine. Pajamas, a blanket and pillow and you will likely find that she curls up and goes to sleep at her normal time.
