A member asked:

Why is my blood sugar high when i eat healthy food?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

May need meds: A healthy diet can help control blood sugars, but diabetes is a progressive disease, meaning that what works at one point in time may not continue to be enough to keep things under control forever. Talk to your doctor or nutritionist to determine if you're eating too many carbs, as too many carbs, even from healthy sources, can raise sugars, or if new or additional medications are needed.
