Bronchitis: If you are treating acute bronchitis antibiotics will seldom help since >95% of cases are viral or environmental. Are you sure this is bronchitis? The major bacterial causes of bronchitis are exacerbations of chronic disease or acutely, adult pertussis, Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, pneumococcus and Hemophilus but the latter groups are very infrequent.
