Occasional use: We don't use this drug in the United States. However, it is is used for IBS elsewhere It causes dry mouth and constipation though. Constipation is not good for people with IBS long term unless all other measures that are safer and more healthy have failed.. High fiber diets, sometimes very high, with gas-x, exercise and stress reduction techniques are better ways. Avoid Splenda, sorbitol.
