How effective is varicocele embolisation? how likely will it come back with embolization? worth it for a small varicocele? testicle atrophied alot.

Less than by surgery: Unusual for significant testicular atrophy from a small varicocele. Small varicocele essentially can not be palpated. It is at least medium size if you can feel it. Statistically results of spermatic vein ligation, either laparoscopically or by open surgery are better than by embolization. Hence, 2 reasons to consult a urologist, to diagnose cause of testicular atrophy & 2ndly regarding surgery!
