A member asked:

Accidently punutred lithuim battery and it had small fumes i breathed in i cleaned up mess and washed hands should i worry about exposure of any kind?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Generally no.: There are a large number of different Li batteries, but they are not usually toxic. Those that are more dangerous are not usually available to the general public. There might have been some immediate irritation of your nasal passages, but this should have resolved quickly especially if the exposure was small.
