Can you ovulate before follicles are mature?

Possibly: Sometimes things may not work right and the egg might be released too early. If so, implantation is not likely as the endometrial lining may not be ready. This would not be common, though. Usually ovulation occurs after the LH surge, when the time and the conditions are right.
