It depends on age: The period changes with age and for different reasons. If you are in your early to mid twenties, you can wait and see, and usually it goes back to normal. If you are in your thirties, this can be something different, and so you must track it for another month or two, and if it continues, you will need to check in with your doctor. Remember the period is an average measurement so it changes a bit.
