Rectal bleeding: If the blood is bright red this generally indicates it is originating from the lower part of your bowel. It may not be related to your pancreatitis. Have your doctor exam you to see if there is a source for the bleeding. You may require a colonoscopy to find out the exact cause. All the best in getting this sorted out. Watch for low blood with persistent bleeding.

Colitis: Although you have chronic pancreatitis the symptoms you describe are hematochezia and that usually is associated with some type of bowel infection. You should be seen especially if this his been ongoing for days.
