Milk or water.: Is it just a matter of taste? You’re gaining protein by drinking milk rather than water. You’re also gaining calcium. But if you’re drinking a lot of whole milk, you may also be gaining a lot of weight (water has zero calories). If you’re gaining weight, this may be a contributor. You can get the same amount of benefits of milk from 1% or skim milk.
