Vocal Cords: Vocal cords normally vibrate when you speak. That is their function. If you have acid reflux, it will respond to antireflux treatment, but it will not produce the symptoms you are reporting. Is it possible that you may have anxiety or OCD? I'm reassured that your ENT exam was normal. If your doctor strongly suspects reflux based on the exam, then try OTC treatment and see if you improve.
