Mucous in throat: The sensation of mucous in throat are common and in young healthy people it is usually the result of constant throat clearing and voluntary coughing and spitting. Acid reflux is another common cause. Break the vicious cylce by drinking water and swallow but do not clear your throat as it will cause more edema in your voice box giving you sensation of mucous there!
