Other options: There are other medications which might offer relief. Nasal steroid sprays play a big role in my practice. Singulair (montelukast) is another. Nasal saline irrigations can help. Lastly, allergy shots to desensitize you to offending allergens may be very helfpul.

Allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. Went from loratadine claratin To Zyrtec To finally Xyzal (levocetirizine). The first 2 meds didn't help much. Is Xyzal (levocetirizine) more effective?
Is it a good idea to chronically use montelukast+levocetrizine for allergic rhinitis. Symptoms happen throughout the year. ENT suggested immunotherapy. But my internist is confident with using medication everyday on an indefinite basis (10 years)?
