Possibilities: Describing what could be an allergy flare up. Likewise, could also be start of sinus infection. Could benefit from seeing an ent. Nasal steroids might be helpful along with possible antibiotics.

Steroid spray: When antihistamines don't work for allergies my next step is to usually recommend steroid . Nasal sprays. I recommend that you call your doctor or see an allergist.

You need more: Antihistamines will not control sinus pain or severe congestion. As long as you don't have high blood pressure you can try a decongestant. You could also try a nasal spray decongestant although it is important to know that you can only use these for 3 days before your nose becomes 'addicted' to them. See an allergist to discuss other options if this is a frequent problem.
