A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly.: "Sore tongue syndrome" is a description, not a diagnosis. It has many causes. These include acid reflux, certain vitamin deficiences, oral thrush, Sjogren's syndrome (an autoimmune disorder) some prescription meds (iincluding Gapapentin), diabetes, thyroid problems and oral allergies. Your oral surgeon and family doc need to work together with you to evaluate you and make a treatment plan.
