A member asked:

I'm a 26 year old male with an athletic lifestyle. last night, my blood pressure was 135/93. what should i do? can i keep lifting and running?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Transient elevation: Transient elevations in blood pressure are quite normal and common. It is more meaningful to follow a trend by logging a.m. and p.m. blood pressures daily for a couple of weeks. Your doctor can then help you determine if there is cause for concern. There is no reason to change your exercise habits with the BP you have listed.
