A member asked:

Hi,my kid has black spots in his eyes' sclera, he is now 4 and the doctor said it's pigmentation and we must take calcium d3, in order to make it firm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Birthmarks?: Hmmm... without seeing your son, it is hard to say; however, it can be very normal to have "freckles" or areas of hyperpigmentation in the sclera of the eyes. Although, adequate calcium intake is important, I am unsure as to why your physician would have linked the two.
