A member asked:

When you lose a testicle does the other one ever actually get bigger? they say "it makes up for it" but i don't understand. the testicles contain leydigs which do most of the work, a limited amount. it can't just go into "overdrive" all the time.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bigger testicle: It is true that when a young man looses a testicle early on, that his remaining testis will undergo "compensatory hypertrophy." In these men, they will have one large testicle with normal function.
