Possibly: I have treated two patients in which the ultrasound was negative for clots but on repeat ultrasound 2 weeks later the test did show clots. However, in that area a possibility of a muscle/tendon sprain or tear is possible also.

Unlikely: Do you have any risk factor for developing DVT such as BCP or smoking or prolonged immobilization or any anticuogulant factor deficiency
