Vaccine: The only information I can find, is that she did have the vaccine for meningococcemia but not the vaccine for all strains which likely lacked B. So sad.

There is evidence that the student contracted Meningococcemia B. She had been vaccinated against A, C, W, and Y (one vaccine called Menveo or Menactra. The Men B vaccine (called Trumenba or Bexsero) is available as of recently. If you are concerned, most Student Health Centers on Campuses stock this vaccine and can administer it. Infection starts with a headache, moves to flu like symptoms.
