It's your call: You are not in a high-risk group for meningitis. Typically high school and college students are targeted for vaccination because they spend time in close quarters such as dorms, buses, gyms and locker rooms, etc. and when there is an outbreak many people may be affected before infection is detected or controlled. Your risk is not great but if you wish to be cautious, go for it--See your PCP!
