Uterine fibriods: Short answer, no. Fibroid tumors are related to a genetic predisposition (other relatives having them). Low dose oral contraceptives which have a minimal estrogen content over time reduce the growth potential of fibroids. "PID" is caused by infections by sexual contact, and has nothing to do with the patch mentioned.
