I took 300mg nuerontin for 6 days but the side effects are too much. i do not get seizures. my dr is on vacation.should i be concerned about stopping?

YES: You should not stop without the advice of your doctor or a doctor covering for him while he is on vacation. You might consider taking it at night in the meantime.

Take it at night: for a while. Try to add some in the day, say 100 mg and work up from there. Lots of people have problems when they first start taking Neurontin. I usually won't give more than 100-300 mg in the first week. Neurontin is a three time a day med for most. Gralise is long acting gabapentin which may be easier to tolerate. It comes as 300 and 600 mg pills. Sometimes I'll start people on 100 mg Neurontin.
