A member asked:

Can someone reference the studies that show that neurontin (gabapentin) is not a particularly strong aed for simple partial seizures as many clinicians believe?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Look at these: I think the evidence is the contrary: gabapentin (neurontin) as add-on therapy in patients with partial seizures: a double-blind, placebo-controlled study. Epilepsia volume 35, issue 4, pages 795–801, july 1994. A double-blind trial of Gabapentin monotherapy for newly diagnosed partial seizures. Neurology november 1998 vol. 51 no. 5 1282-1288.
