I have scoliosis and got x-rays a few years back, my doctor said one of my hips flared in and one is flared out, what is that called?

Flaring ? not clear: In scoliosis, the spine curves from side-to-side to varying degrees, and some of the spinal bones may rotate slightly, making the hips or shoulders appear uneven. So perhaps your doctor meant that the hips did not appear even. Again, the greater cause and issue is the scoliosis, the hips are secondarily affected. So, find out what your angle is and consider PT and lumbar stabilization.
