Can be: It is sometimes more difficult to fit contacts after glaucoma filtering surgery. Sometimes drops or their preservatives can soak into the lenses and irritate the eye if not removed before applying drops. Research is ongoing to develop slow release medications from contacts.

It is diagnosed by the eye doctor seeing the optic nerve having a special appearance, and then a test called a visual field test shows loss of vision in the outer part of the field. Many types: Typically the types are divided into "causes" or the "drain status" thus primary glaucoma vs. Secondary glaucoma (caused by something that is affecting the drain of the eye) or open angle vs. Closed angle glaucoma basically glaucoma can happen at various pressures that is damaging to the individual patient, so there is no pressure cutoff.
