I am not: familiar with any disease caused by a gallstone blockage of the bile duct resulting in elevated liver function tests alone that goes to your brain called transaminitis. It may be that my education is lacking or you may be referring to pancreatic cancer in which case I apologize.

Misinterpretaton: "Transaminitis" refers to elevation of the enzymes ALT and AST that results from inflammation of the liver. Blockage of the common bile duct from any cause can elevate AST & ALT. If there's no permanent liver injury after removal of the stone, ALT & AST will gradually return to normal. SEVERE liver failure can cause toxicity to the brain but it's not from" transaminitis". Talk to your doctor!
