Haptoglobin: Are you sure you got the units right? Normal levels are around 40-170 mg per deciliter. If I convert your units you are 0.25 mg/dl. Extremely low and very unlikely. Various hemolytic anemias can cause low levels.

Could be: related to inflammation. As haptoglobin is also an acute phase reactant, which means the levels can rise with increasing inflammation in your body.
