If i am sick with a flu or cold and nursing are those antibodies to the cold i have in the milk so she cannot get sick? is she now immune to it?

No: Your breast milk provides peotection against several diseases through the antibodies that you produce. But, just because you are recovering from cold --- doesn't preload your milk with all antibodies against cold.

Breast feeding: The antibodies you form are passed to your baby and help protect her. However, this does not give her permanent immunity - she will need to acquire that on her own. Keep up the breast feeding - it is a great service to your baby!
