Easy bruising: As you age skin is thinner ( less fat) so less protective effect on capillaries when there is even minor trauma . Alos medications like ASA, coumadin, (warfarin) blood thinners, fish oil, Vit E, ginko, ginger , steroids,estrogens make it easier to bleed or compromise the integrity of the skin .Conditions like liver disease, low platelets, vasculitis , B12, Vit K ,zinc deficiency affect bleeding.
