Stimulate: Keeping newborns awake during nursing can be challenging. Undressing baby to the diaper, gently stimulating by rubbing the bottoms of the feet, changing breasts, and slightly increasing feeding intervals (no more than 3 hours apart please) may help. Learn to know when your baby is nursing for comfort rather than nourishment, and discourage it at night.
