IBS: Teen w. chronic alternating constipation & frequent loose stools likely w. functional changes of IBS. Dr. can try Amatiza, Bentyl, (dicyclomine) lactose avoidance, and probiotics. Often found in association with Joint Hypermobility Disorder (see Brighton Criteria). Yoga for muscle tone and increased stability of pelvic girdle might be worth a try. Exercise is good. People w. loose joints need toned muscles.
